With Google Referrals closing up shop I signed up for Commission Junction and am fairly impressed by their user interface. IMO, they offer MUCH more than Google ever did, and my favorite part is the wide selection of 125×125 advertisers to choose from. I can most certainly see a long term relationship with CJ. While CPM/CPC networks are nice and can most certainly be profitable, there is a great deal to be made with CPA. Direct ad sales and CPA advertising are among the most profitable forms of advertising available. The key is finding the right CPA advertisers for your site. Determine that and you might have a goldmine on your hands.

Of course, none of these forms are worth much of anythign if you don’t have good traffic and to get good traffic you need good content. Really, that is the key to any successful website. I am not saying it is the only way to make money on the Internet, but certainly the easiest and most reputable way.
