Everyone knows that Google isn’t very kind to you when you exchange links. Reciprocal links might as well not count at all as far as Google is concerned. While reciprocal links are still GREAT for promoting your site, it isn’t good for search engine rankings. Therefore, a good way to maximize your ranking you need to use a “three way link exchange”.
Since this site is new, it doesn’t really have a pagerank yet, but I have another technology website that is PR5.

I used to see something called web ring at the bottom of certain pages with similar content. I like to go to renaissance fairs in the summer and find the vendor pages almost always have it at the bottom. I found this site when I looked it up: http://dir.webring.com/rw
What do you think about people using those kinds of sites to help with promotion? Pros/Cons?
You know, I’ve never really been a huge fan of Web Rings, but they might be worth looking into for a Blog that is just starting out. I might have to take a look.
