Another major step in advertising a new website is promoting it on other sites that you own. This can both be for actual promotion if they content may be applicable to those who frequent your other site, or just for the link itself should your other site have a high PageRank. The more links to your new site, the better. It can also be beneficial not to link back to the other site. Reciprocal linking can cause issues with the links “counting” toward your search engine rankings. Due to this, it is usually better to have your big sites link to your smaller sites to help increase the brand of your smaller sites.
