I thought I’d throw up a handy guide to HTML Colors. These charts can be useful in choosing colors for your website and I plan to expand on them in future posts. I plan to make an image of some sort that is a little more pleasing to the eye than a few quick and dirty tables.
The first chart outlines the “safe” colors to use when coding a color by name. The second chart outlines the named colors in the CSS 3 specification, which most modern browsers already support. The third chart is shorthand for Hex colors such as #FF0033 becoming #F03. The final chart displays all of the “HTML Safe” Hex Color Codes.
