My b&w iPod need a few "home repairs" also, as it is greatly needed for our lawn mowing as well. I was pleased to find that (since our Warranty was still valid), the Apple peeps over in India were very pleasant and helpful in getting our iPod shipped back for service. The good news is we didn't end up needing their help, but it was there. Not so sure they would've been as friendly after the warranty though... Chalk one up for our side!
